One day a person who was disgusted with life approached Prophet Mohd. (pbuh) and told him that after marrying for the second time, his life has changed into a virtual hell, full of problems – financial, marital, ill health, etc, and he came to seek his guidance. The Prophet (pbuh) asked him to marry for the third time. The man married but still his problems remained the same. When he again approached the Prophet (pbuh), same was the guidance –“Marry again.” Though reluctant the man followed the guidance. After a few months the man came and thanked the Prophet (pbuh) for his guidance as now he was financially strong and most of his major problems were over.

This is a very strange philosophy of marriage, but it is absolutely true. From the above story it is very obvious that –
a) The first & the last (fourth) marriage combinations were good, whereas, the second & third were of bad combination. If a combination is good, things work in favour of the couple & vice versa.
b) Hence, four marriages for sexual reasons alone, is a misconception. It is more so that the couples remain happy & successful.
c) Another thing that should be kept in mind is that, the chemical reaction that creates the numerological effect on the marriage combination becomes ineffective with the previous wife and comes into force with the new combination.
Hazrat Ali, Islam’s second most important personality and son-in-law of the Prophet and Imam Jafar Al Sadiq, the pioneer of this Science have said, “Your present situation / condition, whatever it is (whether you are powerful, rich, poor, sick, childless, etc) totally depends upon your marriage combination.”
